A later stint as a legal secretary led to marriage and the birth of two daughters: one is now a practicing attorney, the other, a singer/songwriter.
In L.A. she became a member of both the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (now SAG-AFTRA), and studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles. She’s performed on stage and screen, and enjoyed parts on such television series as the soap opera Santa Barbara, Sisters, and Seinfeld.
Tricia is a three-time Royal Palm Literary Award winner, receiving honors for her memoir A Movable Marriage, Slippery Slopes, and her first memoir, Rabbit Trail: How a Former Playboy Bunny Found Her Way. A member of the National League of American Pen Women and the Florida Writers Association, she currently contributes to International Living Magazine in addition to working on private projects. She’s also a former Toastmaster, available for speaking engagements upon request.
Her passions are travel, snow skiing, word games, fine wines, and above all, writing and reading. Favorite authors include, in no particular order, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Linda Fairstein, Carrie Brown, Lee Child, Eudora Welty, Donna Tartt, Ernest Hemingway, C. S. Lewis, and Ann Patchett.
Ms. Pimental and her husband have lived on the East Coast, West Coast and in the Deep South of the United States, but now call central Portugal home. They like to keep their marriage, well…moving.
